Arabie
Carol Arabie
is an award winning artist whose work is found in
both
private and corporate collections. Most notably, Arabie’s
work has
been commissioned by Louisiana Women’s Healthcare
Associates,
Chef John Folse, was chosen to be published in the Woman’s
Hospital Annual Report and juried into the Southern
Watercolor
Society’s Annual Exhibit.
Arabie’s fondness of her homes of Baton Rouge and
New Orleans,
as well as, her travels to the Florida coast, Italy,
Costa Rica and
Brazil supply her with inspiration for paintings. Her
watercolors, oils,
and acrylics are visually dynamic responses to her
subject matter.
Arabie’s education includes degrees in English from
the University of
Louisiana at Lafayette and Art Education from Louisiana
State
University, Baton Rouge. She has continued her studies
with
prominent artists, such as, Wolf Kahn, Stephen Quiller,
Charles Reid,
Kim English, Dan Gerhartz and Ken MacPherson.
Arabie shares her
love of art by instructing both adult and children’s
classes and by her
volunteer work with the Associated Women in the Arts.
